Fresh off the plane from Seoul, South Korea, apexart Outbound Resident Joanna Ebenstein will be in conversation with past Outbound Residents, including Valerie Crosswhite (Seoul, 2010), Edwin Ramoran (Athens, 2007), and Jayson Keeling (Addis Ababa, 2009), to discuss the program and how their lives have changed since their excursions.

Joanna Ebenstein is a photographer and curator based in Brooklyn. She is also the founder of the blog Morbid Anatomy Library and Observatory Room, projects that delve into the intersection between anatomy, death, and art.

Valerie Crosswhite is a painter living and working in Manhattan, having received her BFA from Copper Union. She participated in the first exchange between apexart and Seoul Art Space_Geumcheon in 2010.

Edwin Ramoran is an independent curator based in New York and Palm Springs. He is a recipient of the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts' Curatorial Fellowship and was previously the Director of Exhibitions and Programs at Aljira. Edwin's Outbound Residency took place in Athens in 2007.

Jayson Keeling was born in Brooklyn, NY and attended The Fashion Institute of Technology. Keeling branched out from his early work primarily in photography to explore video and sculpture as well. His Outbound Residency took place in Addis Ababa in 2009.
