Adrian Paci, Turn On, 2004

international residency program presents

Adrian Paci and Natasa Petresin will speak about recent representational trends in South Eastern Europe and introduce their own work as well as the work of their peers from this region.

 

Adrian Paci is an artist from Albania who is currently based in Milan, Italy. His exhibitions include: Looking Awry curated by the Croatia-based collective WHW at apexart (2003); In the Gorges of the Balkans curated by René Block at the Kunsthalle Fridericianum, Kassel, Germany (2003); New Video, New Europe curated by Hamza Walker at the Tate Modern, London; and the Biennial of Sevilla, Spain, curated by Harald Szeemann (October 2004). In 2005 solo exhibitions of his work will be presented at Moderna Museet, Stockholm and the Contemporary Arts Museum Houston. Adrian was recommended to apexart's residency program by René Block.

Natasa Petresin is a curator from Ljubljana, Slovenia. She attended the World of Art: Training Programme for Curators of Contemporary Art, SCCA-Ljubljana, Slovenia and the Curatorial Training Programme at Stichting De Appel, Amsterdam. She was an assistant curator of In the Gorges of the Balkans curated by René Block at the Kunsthalle Fridericianum, Kassel, Germany, has worked with the experimental and activist arts group Zavod Projekt Atol and the sound art series Re-lax, and co-founded the music label and music publishing series rx:tx. Natasa is with apexart as an ArtsLink fellow.
