Tamara Díaz Bringas (b. Cuba, 1973) is a curator and researcher. She holds a BA in Art History, University of Havana, Cuba (1996) and a Master in Museology, University of Valladolid, Spain (2003) and is a graduate from MACBA's Independent Studies Program, Barcelona. From 1999-2009 she was the curator and editorial coordinator for TEOR/ética, a non-profit space based in San José, Costa Rica. In 2010 she was adjunct curator and coordinator of the 31st Biennial of Pontevedra "Utrópicos" dedicated to Central America and the Caribbean. Among her projects are: Plan B, around Fina Miralles's archive, L'Estruch, Sabadell, 2011; Rolando Castellón (2005) and The mist-making machine (2004), both at the Museum of Contemporary Art and Design (MADC), Costa Rica; What is real?, an urban intervention project, San José, 2005; Dealing the cards: Intertexts on Costa Rican plastic arts at TEOR/ética, 2004. She also co-curated the Central American and Caribbean exhibition for the VIII International Biennial in Cuenca, Ecuador.
