Gustavo Sagorsky was born in 1975 in Buenos Aires, Argentina, and has lived in West Jerusalem, Israel, since 1998. His work explores the close relationship between photography and sculpture. Most recently his focus has been on his immediate surroundings as viewed through the lens of found objects that he collects and transforms into new landscapes surfaces in his studio.
Sagorsky studied Social Communication at Department of Sociology Studies, Buenos Aires University, Argentina. He received a BFA and a MFA from the Departments of Photography and Fine Arts at the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem and Tel Aviv. Since 2008 he has worked as a lecturer at the Photography department at Bezalel Academy for Arts and Design Jerusalem.
Sagorsky has held several solo exhibitions including Uzbekistan National Gallery and the Artists Studios Gallery as well as participated in numerous group exhibitions including Ashdod Museum of Art, The Israel Drawing Biennale, The Mia Photography Fair, and the LeBal Festival.
