Heather Kouris began working at apexart in August 1999 as Gallery Director and as Special Projects Director in 2002. Her Special Projects include co-editing apexart's new series of books, developing the growing apexart website/archive and other diverse activities. After a three month Fulbright Research Fellowship in Greece in fall 2002, Ms. Kouris produced the catalogue and exhibition Everyday Hellas for White Box, New York, in June, and the City of Athens, Greece, in August, 2004, which featured work by 15 contemporary Greek artists. In April-May 2002 she curated the exhibition The Passions of the Good Citizen at apexart. She currently lives and works in Athens, Greece.
