| Christina Petrinou

Christina Petrinou is a critic
and curator based in Athens, Greece. She holds a degree in Art
History from the Ecole du Louvre where she specialized in contemporary
art,
and a Master of Art History from the University of Paris I, Panthéon-Sorbonne
where she is currently preparing her thesis. In Paris, she has
worked at the Picasso Museum, Yvon Lambert Gallery, Louvre Museum,
and in
Greece she has worked at the Museum of Contemporary Art, and the
Foundation of Basil and Elisa Goulandris, Andros. She has organized
many exhibitions, and her most recent curatorial project is a thematic
exhibition at the Benaki Museum and in the Center of Contemporary
Art, Rethymnon, Crete.
Ms. Petrinou teaches 19th and 20th Century Art History at the French Institute of Athens in collaboration with the University of Nanterre-Paris X (DEUG Art History) and Athens College, and has lectured at Christie's. She has published articles in art magazines (ARTI, The Art Magazine, Highlights, Design+Art in Greece, Kathimerini, Time Out Athens) and exhibition catalogues. She is a member of the Greek section of the International Union of art critics (AICA HELLAS) and the Greek section of the International Committee of Museums (ICOM).
