Barrie Cline is an artist and is the Kelber Fellow at the Harry Van Arsdale Jr. Center for Labor Studies. A homesteader and housing advocate for people battling mental illness in the Lower East Side in the 1980s, she has since developed free or sliding scale participatory arts models for diverse communities, ranging from young graffiti writers in the South Bronx to construction workers citywide. In collaboration with an allied group of construction workers, she formed the Workers Art Coalition in 2014, dedicated to engage in art and movement-building projects that take place the public realm.

This Fellowship is an exchange program with apexart and the Art Cube Artists' Studios in Jerusalem, Israel, which is made possible in part by the Jerusalem Foundation.
