Joan Wyand (she/they) is a multidisciplinary artist whose practice includes social engagement, teaching, collaboration, ceramics, sculpture, performance, painting and fabric art. She earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Ceramics at the Rhode Island School of Design in 2005. She has participated in many collaborative groups, including the Providence Initiative for Psychogeographic Studies (PIPS) and the Providence Dance Troupe, and was recognized for her creative dedication to participatory culture with AS220’s Free Culture Award in 2012.
